Preventing injuries
We all know that the best cure is prevention. If you've had any injuries make sure you're fully recovered before you play again - see your GP or physiotherapist if you need to check. And follow our great hints and tips to help prevent injuries and keep you in the game!
Remember the basics. Always warm up and cool down - those all-important five minute jogs and stretches really do make a difference.
Don't try to do too much too soon - build up your strength and fitness level slowly.
Take a break if you feel any twinges.
Make sure you've got the right equipment. Choose well-fitting shoes or boots that are designed for the sport you're playing.
Protect knees and ankles with Elastoplast adjustable stabilisers.
Drink lots of liquids.
Give your muscles a chance to recover between sessions.
