Our next generation of wound care

Small cuts, grazes, or scratches can quickly become a nuisance, especially on mobile body parts. It’s also where traditional plasters often fail to stay in place, become loose, or restrict your movement. To cover these kinds of wounds, Elastoplast Second Skin Protection Liquid Plaster Concentrate and Spray Plaster offer an innovative, more practical solution. Available as sprayable plaster or liquid plaster concentrate, these liquid plasters dry quickly upon application and form a water-resistant, invisible, and protective seal – all while staying put, even when you move.

How do liquid plasters work?

Elastoplast Second Skin Protection Liquid Plaster Concentrate and Spray Plaster rely on film-forming technology to create a flexible, invisible seal over the wound. Once applied, the solution dries quickly, forming a breathable, water-resistant film that feels like a second skin. The liquid plasters shield the wound from dirt and water, are highly flexible and stay in place even on moving body parts.

How the Second Skin Protection Spray Plaster works

What is a liquid plaster and what does it do?

Liquid plasters such as Elastoplast Second Skin Protection Liquid Plaster Concentrate and Spray Plaster are colourless, liquid formulations that serve as invisible wound dressings – ideal for protecting small, superficial dry everyday wounds such as scratches, grazes, or cuts. They can be either sprayed or applied directly onto the cleaned, dry area. Upon applying, it quickly dries to form a flexible, water-resistant film to cover and protect the wound.

Elastoplast has developed two different liquid bandages for covering and protection of minor, superficial, dry everyday wounds:

  • Elastoplast Liquid Plaster Concentrate has a gel-like formula applied with a tube applicator to cover wounds precisely.
  • Elastoplast Spray Plaster is an easy-to-apply, sprayable plaster ideal for covering hard-to-reach areas.

Both dry quickly and form an invisible seal that adapts to the skin’s surface, giving 100% freedom of movement. There’s no need to apply a traditional dressing on top.

When should you use liquid or spray plasters?

Elastoplast Second Skin Protection Spray Plaster and Liquid Plaster Concentrate are ideal for treating small, superficial dry wounds – especially on areas that are hard to reach or on moving body parts.

The Liquid Plaster Concentrate allows for precise application and is particularly suitable for small wounds like paper cuts and grazes, scratches, or skin cracks – e. g. on knuckles. The Spray Plaster is especially convenient to use and ideal for hard-to-reach areas. Acting like an invisible plaster, the flexible film blends naturally with the skin and is barely noticeable in daily life.

Both liquid plasters – the Liquid Plaster Concentrate and Spray Plaster – are also a smart choice if you need water-resistant protection. The protective film shields the wound against dirt and water while moving naturally with your skin – perfect for outdoor and sports activities or when you’re on the go.

How the Second Skin Protection Liquid Plaster Concentrate works

Why use a liquid bandage?

Elastoplast Second Skin Protection Liquid Plaster Concentrate and Spray Plaster combine flexible protection with ease of use. The different application types offer tailored solutions for various needs: With its pinpoint applicator, the Liquid Plaster Concentrate ensures precise care for small wounds like scratches or cracked skin, while the easy-to-apply Spray Plaster is ideal for hard-to-reach areas. Both dry quickly and wear off naturally – making them a smart choice for modern wound care.

How to apply Elastoplast liquid plasters

Please read enclosed leaflet carefully before use.
Before applying any of the Elastoplast liquid bandages, make sure to stop the bleeding and thoroughly clean and dry the affected area. Use a wound cleansing product like Elastoplast Wound Spray to remove dirt and visible particles – this protects against infection to ensure undisturbed healing.

Frequently asked questions

What are the benefits of using a liquid plaster?

Elastoplast Second Skin Protection Liquid Plaster Concentrate and Spray Plaster offer targeted protection for minor, superficial dry everyday wounds. Unlike traditional plasters, these liquid bandages form a flexible, water-resistant film that feels like a second skin and stays in place, even on moving body parts. This makes them ideal for hard-to-reach areas or while doing outdoor or sports activities.

Can you use liquid plasters on open wounds?

Elastoplast Second Skin Protection Spray Plaster and Liquid Plaster Concentrate can be used on minor, superficial, dry open wounds. Before application, it is important to stop the bleeding, then clean and dry the affected area, before the product can be applied. However, the liquid bandages should not be used on deep, infected, bleeding or exudating wounds.

Is it possible to use a Wound Healing Ointment while using a liquid plaster?

Wound Healing Ointments are not to be applied when using liquid plasters as they would not allow a film to form and the liquid bandage would not protect your wound. Please make sure that your skin is dry and free of creams.
